Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center, 428 East G Street, for the week of Monday, Oct. 30 – Friday, Nov. 3:

Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon.

The billiard room and fitness room are open and no appointments are necessary.

REMINDER: Street signs with reflective numbers are still available at the Center for a cost of $5. These are provided at this discount price through our SALT Council. Make sure you can be located in case of an emergency.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren – Are you raising a grandchild or even a great-grandchild? Grandparents Raising Grandchildren meets on the last Tuesday of every month at 10 a.m. Next meeting is November 28 at the Carter County Health Department.

The Elizabethton Senior Center, partnered with First Tennessee Area Agency on Aging, is currently seeking an Options Counselor. The Center is accepting applications for a full-time Options Counselor position for 40 hours a week at $14.70 per hour plus an Insurance Stipend. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering in-home assessments/reassessments, maintaining files, completing care service plans, and entering data in computer software system. Travel will be required with mileage reimbursement. Preferred education is one of the following: LPN, bachelor’s in social work, Psychology, or related field. Will consider applicants with a minimum completion of two (2) years’ attendance at an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in social work or related field.
