Boozy Creek Community Center, 1989 Shelleys Road, Bristol, Va., will have a Thanksgiving meal at 4 p.m. This is the annual Thanksgiving meal celebration with fantastic ham and turkey, complete with all the traditional sides, desserts and drinks. Music will be provided by “Eric McMurray and High Test” from 5 to 6:30 p.m. This band is definitely top notch and high energy with wonderful vocal harmony. A state certified training class will be held at 135 Keenburg Road, Elizabethton, starting at 8:30 a.m. State Certified Trainer Kenneth R. Potter will be instructing the class which will feature Unarmed/Armed Guard along with Active Shooter. Potter holds multiple certifications including Firearms through Commerce and Insurance.
