Veronia June (Arnett) Campbell, 89, of Elizabethton, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the American House of Johnson City. Veronia was born in Roan Mountain to the late Thomas and Estella (Holtsclaw) Arnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobbie Gene Campbell, in 2006, and a brother, Robert “Bob” Arnett.
Veronia retired from Siemen’s Corporation and was a member of Beck Mountain Baptist Church. She loved her family very much and enjoyed sewing and spending time on her houseboat.
Those left to remember and cherish Veronia’s memory include her daughter, Debra Miller and husband Ralph, and her grandson, Justin Miller.
A service to celebrate Veronia’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Wednesday. The family would like to thank the staff at American House of Johnson City and also the staff of Amedysis Hospice for showing such love and compassion to Veronia during her illness. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in honor of Veronia to the Carter County Animal Shelter, 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
