Ege moves to No. 15 in PGA Tour U Rankings

JOHNSON CITY – During a live interview on the Golf Channel Wednesday afternoon, ETSU’s Mats Ege learned he has moved to No. 15 in the latest PGA Tour University Rankings.

Ege, previously ranked No. 18, is coming off a stellar fall campaign where he registered 15 straight sub-par rounds en route to generating a stroke average of 67.53 in five tournaments. Overall, Ege played the five fall tournaments at an astonishing 55-under-par. 

Ege, who finished in the top six in all the fall tournaments, posted a win at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at 16-under-par 200, while he finished the season with a second-place showing at the Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate at 15-under-par 198. In addition to those impressive performances, Ege opened the season with a sixth-place showing at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, tied for fourth at the Windon Memorial and placed tied for fifth at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.

Ege has a points average 950.2122 in the PGA Tour U Rankings, while Stanford’s Michael Thorbjornsen is atop the rankings list with 1351.6784 points. Ege’s three wins are tied for the most among those ranked in the top-50 and his 12 top-10s are the second-most.

Ege is currently ranked No. 39 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
