Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center, 428 East G Street, for the week of Monday, Nov. 6 – Friday, Nov. 10:
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
The billiard room and fitness room are open and no appointments are necessary.
Monday: Balance, Toning & Strengthening – Instructor, K.C. with Gerihab Mobile, $3, 8:30 a.m.; Dining with Diabetes – Instructor, Rachel with UT Extension, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Breaded Chicken Tenders, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga – Instructor, Shirley Gomillian with Yoga Farm, $3, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-flow Yoga – Instructor, Cindy Brugnoletti with Yoga Farm, $3, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Tuesday: Blood Pressure Checks with Freda, 9 a.m.; Prepare for Medicare (TN SHIP) – Need help with Medicare Open Enrollment? 9-11 a.m.; Lunch – Meatloaf, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing – Sharon Pilk, 12-2 p.m., $3.
Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, Free, 9-10 a.m.; My Plate – Four-Part Series in Living a Healthier Lifestyle, Victoria with UT Extension, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Meatball Sub with Mozzarella Cheese, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga – Instructor, Shirley Gomillian with Yoga Farm, $3, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-flow Yoga – Instructor, Cindy Brugnoletti with Yoga Farm, $3, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Thursday: Veterans Day Annual Breakfast – All Veterans eat free, $5 for friends and family, 8 a.m.; Lunch – Chicken Pot Pie, 11 a.m.; Vet-2-Vet Care – Sponsored by Caris Healthcare – Welcome to all Veterans, 2 p.m.
Friday: Senior Center closed. No meals served. *Thank you to all of you veterans for your heroic service.

REMINDER: Street signs with reflective numbers are still available at the Center for a cost of $5. These are provided at this discount price through our SALT Council. Make sure you can be located in case of an emergency.
The Elizabethton Senior Center, partnered with First Tennessee Area Agency on Aging, is currently seeking an Options Counselor. The Center is accepting applications for a full-time Options Counselor position for 40 hours a week at $14.70 per hour plus an Insurance Stipend. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering in-home assessments/reassessments, maintaining files, completing care service plans, and entering data in computer software system. Travel will be required with mileage reimbursement. Preferred education is one of the following: LPN, bachelor’s in social work, Psychology, or related field. Will consider applicants with a minimum completion of two (2) years’ attendance at an accredited college or university and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in social work or related field.
