It’s that time of year when holiday events are splattered all over the calendar, and the GFWC Elizabethton Woman’s Club Christmas Craft Show is the one event you don’t want to miss. In fact, it has become a tradition.
The show will be held Nov. 10 and 11 at the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Building on Mill St. Hours of the show are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.
This year’s show will feature 56 vendors with a variety of arts and crafts, all homemade. And, of course there will be food, too.
Featured items will include handmade sewn crafts, jewelry, quilted items, wood items, etc.
The Woman’s Club is a world-wide organization and is a club that does many things for the community. Some of their projects include yearly scholarships to a graduating senior at each of the five local high schools; monetary support for the Christmas lights every year, note pouches for the nursing homes, and support to several local organizations.
“The craft show is a great place to do some early Christmas shopping,” said Lillo Duncan, a longtime member of the Elizabethton club.
