There is nothing as exciting as getting to play on the same floor as the big boys do and for teams from the Jr. Cyclone boys basketball league, that opportunity came during halftimes of the Elizabethton and Johnson Co. junior varsity and varsity basketball games.
The crowd really enjoyed the action, especially the first contest when a shot with three ticks remaining on the clock broke a 2-2 deadlock in dramatic fashion that even had the Cyclone junior varsity team jumping up and down.
These teams play on Saturdays at different locations, including Eastside Elementary, Hampton Elementary, Valley Forge Elementary, Unaka Elementary, Hunter Elementary, Central Elementary, Little Milligan Elementary, and Cloudland Elementary School.
