William Ernest Potter, 92, Elizabethton, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023. He was a native of Carter County and a son of the late William Ernest Hicks and Maude Potter Vest.
William was owner of William Potter Roofing. He loved to work and go hiking. He was a wonderful, loving husband, father and most of all a loving Popa to his buddy, Zack.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Phyllis Lowe Potter; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Mellissa Potter; one grandson, Zackary Potter; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Private family services will be Tuesday, December 19, with Pastor Greg Key officiating. Interment will be at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
