Betty Jewell Linville, 90, Elizabethton, passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Ida Jane Tittle Pate.
Betty was retired from North Electric and Kennametal. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who died December 10, 2007; a son, Larry A. Cole; a sister, Agnes Price; and two brothers, Arvil and Virgil Pate.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Buker and husband Scott, Birchwood, Tenn.; a son, Richard Joe Linville, Elizabethton; one grandson, Jason Ray Davis; and several nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Sharon Williams and Debra Vance.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
