Coming to the historic Bonnie Kate Theater in downtown Elizabethton on January 4 is the show “The General.”
After being rejected by the Confederate military, not realizing it was due to his crucial civilian role, an engineer must single-handedly recapture his beloved locomotive after it is seized by Union spies and return it through enemy lines.
The movie will show through Jan. 6 at 7 o’clock each evening. General admission is $5.
Showing Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. is “The Gold Rush.” The movie will show through Jan. 13 at 7 p.m.
The movie is the story of a prospector who goes to the Klondike during the 1890s gold rush in hopes of making his fortune, and is smitten with a girl he sees in a dance hall. The show stars Charlie Chaplin.
The Unpaladors will be featured on stage Friday, Jan. 12, at 7:30 p.m. The classic “America” cover band plays everything from Elvis to the Eagles. General admission is $10.
