Dancing was a very popular social pastime in early America.
English Country Dancing will be taught and enjoyed January 21 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park.
Beginners and seasoned dancers alike are all invited to learn early 19th century dances at the park workshop. No cost to attend and the workshop is open to all, with or without experience or a partner.
Those attending are asked to meet in the Visitor Center.
The workshop is sponsored by the Sabine Hill Social Society.
