To the Editor:
Neither Republicans nor Democrats are inherently evil just because of their political party affiliation. Nonetheless, fractures over party lines have created a kind of rhetoric that’s dangerous. A study found Democrats and Republicans see each other as mindless!
Matthew 22 teaches, “Love the Lord your God (Jesus) with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” You must love your political neighbor as yourself. The Bible says live at peace as much as it’s up to you. We have 80 percent Republican and 20 percent Democrat in Carter County and they are all our neighbors. We must approach one another with respect and dignity. The choice isn’t just between the two current front runners in the polls. It’s between the parties. The party platforms are important. The front runners could die or be replaced. Only the Republican platform gives protection to the unborn and to the U.S. Constitution right to bear arms. Show your love for your unborn neighbors and vote Republican in 2024!
As a Christian I don’t want to be persecuted by Biden who I think hates Christians. Brannon Howse said the Biden administration refused to condemn the murder of 200 Christians in Nigeria and doesn’t want to allow Biblical Christians to foster children. Although America has open borders, record crime, record homelessness, is close to financial collapse, has record deaths from drugs the Biden administration’s priority is promoting and recruiting children into homosexuality and transgenderism. Biden and progressives support allowing people to identify as whatever they want except for Biblical Christian. Persecution of American Biblical Christians is coming! “Hate is loud, Jesus loved louder!”
