Carroll Justice Jones Jr., 80, of Johnson City, Tenn., passed away on January 2, 2024 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Carroll was born in Colombia, Neb., on March 15, 1943, the oldest child of Carroll Justice Jones Sr. and Lois Johnson Jones. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Janis Jones.

Carroll was a member of Range Community Christian Church. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam War where he was involved in four battles. Carroll owned Chem Science Fertilizers in Modesto, Calif., for 30 years. He loved to fish and hunt. He loved to read.

Carroll He was a member of the Johnson Community Concert Band where he played clarinet for many years. He was a member of the Dup and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Barbara Jones; daughters, Nicole Suzette Jones Williams and husband Kevin, and Robyn Marie Jones Whitehead and husband Simon; sons, Carroll Justice Jones lll and Deven Michael LaMas Jones; grandchildren, Brianna, Hillary and husband Timothy, Caroline, Justice and Gwendolyn; one brother, Stanley Jones and wife Sharen, and one sister, Carrie Clark and husband David; sister-in-law, Sandy Adams and husband Jim; and brother-in-law, Jim Brown. He leaves his much-loved dog Elsa who misses him

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson City Community Concert Band, www.jcccband.org, or Range Community Christian Church, 175 Hart Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643.

A memorial service will be held February 17 at 10:30 a.m. at Range Community Christian Church, 175 Hart Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643. A private graveside and inurnment will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery at a later time. The family wishes to thank our minister, Ken Overdorf, for his kindness and wisdom during the time Carroll was ill and to his wife in the time after his death and Tetrick Funeral Home for their kindness.
