In order to inform the citizens of Carter County and provide all candidates with an opportunity to meet and engage with the public, the Elizabethton/Carter County Chamber of Commerce will host the Carter County Candidate Forum for the County Commission, School Board, Assessor of Property, and House Representative candidates on March 4, at the historic Bonnie Kate Theatre, located at 115 South Sycamore St., Elizabethton.
From 6 to 6:45 p.m., all candidates running for any office will have the opportunity to meet and greet the public. This informal mix and mingle will allow citizens to learn more about each candidate’s campaign. Following the meet and greet, from 7 to 8 p.m., there will be a forum for all County Commission, School Board, Assessor of Property, and House Representative candidates, moderated by Josh Smith.
This event promises to be informative and engaging, providing valuable insight for voters as they prepare to head to the polls. Any candidate planning to attend should RSVP by March 1 by calling the chamber at 423-547-3850.
