Carter County Democrats will caucus March 16

The Carter County Democratic Party will hold its caucus on March 16 at the Carter County Courthouse’s Main Courtroom to choose selectors for delegates to the National Democratic Party Convention. Doors will open at 12 noon and the confidential meeting will begin at 1 p.m.
All Democrats who vote in the March 5 primary are invited to participate.
To be eligible one must be a registered voter, have voted in the primary, and signed a credential list with a statement of Presidential preference, name, address, city, zip code, county, email address, and phone numbers. In-person early voting in the primary runs February 14 to 27. Any dedicated Democrat turning 18 by November 5, 2024 may vote in the caucus even if they cannot vote in the primary. The Carter County Courthouse is located at 801 E. Elk Ave., Elizabethton.
The next meeting of the Carter County Democratic Party will be March 9 at 10:30 a.m. in the Democratic Resource Center, 2700 S. Roan St., Suite 440, Johnson City.
