Lana Sue Montgomery, 61, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Lana was born in Elizabethton to the late David Marshall Hill and Linda Holt Hill. In addition to her parents, Lana was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Nelson.
Lana had worked in the customer service industry and was a member of Unity Fellowship. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish and remember Lana include her three children, Brandon and Briona Montgomery of Watauga, Melinda Montgomery and her boyfriend Bruce Crumley of Elizabethton and Amy and Kenly Hunter of Ammon, Idaho; four grandchildren, Jubal Montgomery and Lawson Montgomery and Kennen Hunter and Kaiden Hunter; two sisters, Bobbie Salina and Rachael Ponce, both of Reedsville, N.C.; an aunt, Karen Richards of Elizabethton; and a cousin, Josh Taylor of Rogersville.
A service to celebrate the life of Lana Sue Montgomery will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 18, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton with Pastor Greg Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 12 and 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel prior to the service on Sunday. The graveside service will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Brandon Montgomery, Bruce Crumley, Hunter Nelson, Thorne Potter, Josh Taylor and Ronald Ritchie. Mark Turner will serve as honorary pallbearer. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations in memory of Lana to Unity Fellowship Church, 901 Cedar Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
