Roan Mountain State Park will host a hiking marathon from March 23 through April 21. Participants will have roughly 30 days to complete the marathon or one-half marathon of their choosing.
This is a self-paced, self-guided, honor system hike. Registration is required. The cost is $35. The fee covers a t-shirt, sticker, water bottle, and a lunch celebration on Sunday, April 21, at 1 p.m. at the Park Conference Center. Participants will pick up their swag bag on April 21 after completing the hiking marathon and turning in their trail log sheet that is provided.
Registration closes March 16 for those wanting a t-shirt, sticker, and water bottle swag bag.
