Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center, 428 East G Street, for the week of Monday, Feb. 19 – Friday, Feb. 23:
Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Friday: 8 a.m. – 12 noon.
The billiard room and fitness room are open and no appointments are necessary.
Monday: Presidents’ Day – Center closed. No meals served.
Tuesday: Heart Health Trivia – Come by the center and pick up free Heart Health Trivia Activities; Lunch – Meatloaf, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing – Instructor Sharon Pilk, 12 p.m., $3; Families Raising Families – Support for those raising grandchildren or other relatives raising children; location: Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton, 6-7 p.m.
Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio – Toning – Strength Building – Group Led, 9-10 a.m.; Valentine’s Snack & Craft, Heart Suncatchers, 9:30 a.m.; Lunch – Chili Mac Casserole, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga – Yoga Farm Instructor Shirley Gomillian, $3, 12:15 p.m.; Gentle Flow Yoga – Yoga Farm Instructor Cindy Brugnoletti, $3, 1:30 p.m.
Thursday: Lunch – Chicken Pot Pie, 11 a.m.; Diabetes Presentation – ETSU Students with Quillen College of Medicine, 1 p.m.; Qigong with Adina Madore, 1:30 p.m.
Friday: Just Keep Movin’ – Cardio – Toning – Strength Building – Group Led, 9-10 a.m.; Let’s Play Bingo, Special Host: Oasis Senior Advisors, 10 a.m.; Lunch – Cabbage Roll Soup, 11 a.m.
Wanting to volunteer in the community? Call 543-4255 and ask about becoming a driver for home delivered meals!
REMINDER: Street signs with reflective numbers are still available at the Center for a cost of $5. These are provided at this discount price through our SALT Council.
