Robert Dean Fields, 49, Roan Mountain, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024. He was born October 30, 1974 in Banner Elk, N.C.

Robert was a graduate of Cloudland High School. He was a Pipefitter of the Local Union 538 and a member of Lower Shell Creek Christian Church. One thing Dean loved to do was watch his girls play softball as the pitching and catching “Fields” girls. He was their number one supporter throughout the years.

Dean loved his family as well as Notre Dame football. As a pipefitter, he enjoyed the company of many friends he made throughout the years. He was the best dad a girl could have. His laughter and smile will always be remembered.
