63 permits issued by City Planning Office for February

The City of Elizabethton Planning Office had a busy month of February in which 63 permits were issued by the department totaling $692,286.44.
A breakdown of the permits showed that there were six permits issued for commercial building permits totaling $136,969.44.
Meanwhile, there were only two residential building permits issued for the month with a total value of $125,316.
There were 29 electrical permits obtained at a value of $1,832.50.
The Planning Office also saw the following permits issued in the month:
Gas – 10 permits. $0 value.
Grading – one permit. $75.
Mechanical (Commercial) – two permits. $430,001.
Mechanical (Residential) – nine permits. $475
Plumbing – four permits. $245
With the spring season approaching, the Planning Office expects to see a rise in all permits being issued.
