Northeast State Back-to-School Night for adult learners scheduled March 14

Northeast State is hosting a back-to-school night for adult learners on March 14 at its Blountville campus, 2425 Highway 75.

This event offers a detailed look at the resources available to adult learners, including admissions procedures, financial aid opportunities, and specialized support services such as TN Reconnect and Veterans Affairs.

Attendees will have the chance to visit with college faculty and staff to learn more about the academic experience at Northeast State.

Attendees can also take a 30-minute guided tour of the campus.

The event schedule is as follows:

– 5:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Check-in, Technical Education Complex, 2425 Highway 75

– 6 p.m. – 6:05 p.m.: Welcome Address by Dr. Jeff McCord, President, Northeast State

– 6:05 p.m. – 6:20 p.m.: Admissions overview presented by Michelle Stanley, Assistant Director, Admissions & Records

– 6:20 p.m. – 6:35 p.m.: Financial Aid insights shared by Justin Smith, Financial Aid Associate

– 6:35 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.: TN Reconnect information session led by Jim Henrichs, Adult Recruiter

– 6:45 p.m. – 7 p.m.: Veterans Affairs discussion with Mandie Roberts, Director, Veterans & Military Student Success Center

– 7 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.: Academic Programs overview presented by Dr. Nathan Weber, Assistant Vice President, Academic Affairs Programs and Services

– Optional 30-minute campus tours will be available starting at 7:15 p.m.
