Minnie Lee Simmelink “Lee”, 89, of Elizabethton, went to live with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 8, 2024.

She believed in the promise that to “be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

Lee is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ken Simmelink; three children, a son, Kim (Pamela) Simmelink of Sheboygan, Wis., and daughters, Pam (Chris) Yarberry of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Lisa (Ken) Wilson of Winnipeg, Canada; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the care team from Gentiva Hospice, and the very special staff of Dominion Senior Living, in Johnson City, Tenn.
