Timothy McCoury, 67, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2024, at Johnson County Community Hospital. Tim was born October 20, 1956 to the late Ty and Evelyn McCoury. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eddie and Anna McCoury and Dayton and Oda Jones; brother, Randy McCoury; and an infant brother.

Tim was a kind and hard-working man who enjoyed working on his tree farms. He also ran a saw-mill and hauled produce in his younger days. He always wanted to make sure his family was taken care of. Tim loved his truck, and animals, especially his cats and chickens. He was a former member of Pilgrim Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Helen McCoury; son, Adam McCoury; sisters, Glenda Trivette (Lowell), and Becky Wilson; brother, Greg McCoury (Beck); nieces and nephews, Scarlett, Timothy, Ty, Bruce and Chase; one great-nephew; three great-nieces; one great-great-nephew; one great-great-nephew on the way; two sisters-in-law, Tammy Potter and Judy Pearson; several cousins; special friends, Cecil, Lorenzo and Edga and many other friends and business acquaintances.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Sugar Grove Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Toby Rainbolt officiating. The graveside service and interment will immediately follow the funeral from Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
