First Christian

First Christian Church Elizabethton has Sunday worship at 9:45 a.m. and the Wednesday service is at 6 p.m.

Upcoming services include Palm Sunday service March 24, after which a fellowship meal will be served. Those planning to attend are asked to call the church office to sign up for the meal.

Movie Night will be held Thursday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. A movie will be shown in the church fellowship hall. Popcorn and drinks will be served, and the entire family is invited for this fun night.

The congregation will be joining Borderview Christian Church for a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on March 29.

Easter Sunday at First Christian will include a sunrise service at 8:30 a.m. followed by a light breakfast at 9 a.m. An Easter Egg Hunt for the children will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Easter Sunday worship service at 10 a.m.

The public is invited to attend the service.

First Christian is located at 513 Hattie Ave. Persons who need a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 for an appointment.

CCCMF Meeting

The Carter County Christian Men’s Fellowship will meet Tuesday, March 19, at the Central Community Christian Church with Michael Klaus, minister at First Christian Church Elizabethton, as guest speaker.

Men are invited to bring someone with them to worship and “Bridge the Generations for the Kingdom.”

 

Zion Baptist

Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will have spring revival March 17-20. 

Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr. will preach Sunday at 11 a.m. Tyler Gaulden will preach Sunday evening at 6 o’clock and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

McKamey Legacy will provide special music at the Wednesday service. The church choir and other special music will be provided at each service.

Also, a nursery will be provided at each service.

The Men and Ladies Prayer Room will begin approximately 15 minutes before each service.

Grace Baptist

Traditional worship will be held at 9 a.m. Palm Sunday, March 14, at Grace Baptist Church. “The Hope of the Cross” will be presented by the Sanctuary Choir.

Sunday School is at 10 a.m. followed by contemporary worship at 11 a.m.

A Good Friday service will be held at 6 p.m. March 29 which will feature scripture reading, music and the Lord’s Supper.

Easter Sunday, a sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. at the Wilbur Dam Boat Ramp, followed by Sunday School at 9 a.m. and a worship service at 10 a.m.

Grace Baptist is located at 1114 Broad St.

First United Methodist

Elizabethton First United Methodist Church will have a Palm Sunday Sunday service at 10 a.m. March 24.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held March 28 at 6 p.m. As in the past, it will be a joint service with First Baptist Church as part of the community Holy Week services. A re-enactment of the Last Supper will be incorporated into the service.

A sunrise service will be held at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday, Match 31, with worship service at 10 a.m.

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church Elizabethton will have both an online and live worship service Sunday, March 17, at 11 a.m.

The Rev. Feliz Uberbacher will present the sermon titled “Living As Raised People” based in John 11: 17-44.

Adult Forum at 9:45 a.m. will feature ETSU Professor Dr. David Harker leading a discussion on Free Will.

The church is located at 119 West F St. Dr. Brian Wyatt is pastor.

 

Southside Free Will

Sacred Journey will be at Southside Free Will Baptist Church to sing at the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday.
