Larry Berry, 70, of Elizabethton, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at his home following a brief illness. Larry was born in Johnson City, Tenn., to the late Charlie and Mamie Berry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Berry; a sister-in-law, Eunice Berry; and his former wife, Ann Watson.

Larry retired from TPI Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. He loved Tennessee Vols football, spending time outside in the woods, spending time with his friends, but most of all he loved being with his family, especially his grandson, Axel, and his little dog, Benji.

Those left to cherish Larry’s memory include his soulmate of 20 years, Wendy Parks; his daughter, Crystal Stines and husband Robert of Elizabethton; his grandson, Axel Stines; his sister, Trula Sneyd and husband Ray; his brother, Henry Berry; his nieces, Debbie Jones and husband Randy, Donna White and husband Norman and Angie Graham; a great-niece, Raysha Ferguson and husband Stephen; and a great-nephew, Draven Graham. Several other family members and many friends also survive.

A memorial service to celebrate Larry’s life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 24, in the Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with a eulogy being given by his grandson, Axel Stines. The family will receive friends between 2 and 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice nurses, caregivers and staff for their love and care given to Larry during his illness.
