National Football Foundation announces the inductees for the 2024 Football Hall of Fame

Johnson City – The Mountain Empire Chapter of the National Football Foundation has announced the stellar class to be inducted into the Football Hall of Fame on Saturday, April 13, 2023, at 9:30 am at the DoubleTree Hotel in Johnson City, Tennessee. The ceremony will coincide with the annual banquet to recognize the elite scholar-athletes from its members across the region.

 The 2024 Hall of Fame Class to be inducted into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame include:

  • Cecil Puckett – Dobyns-Bennett (1945) (represented by his family)
  • Billy Taylor – Morristown West (1983)
  • Heath Miller – Honaker (2002)
  • Coach Robbie Norris – Sullivan North High School (John Robert Bell Award)
  • Garry Roberts – Football Game Official (James Cradic Award)

The National Football Foundation Mountain Empire Hall of Fame is located inside Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, TN and provides the region and its visitors with insight into the rich history of football from the Mountain Empire (spanning East TN, SW Virginia, and Western NC), player and coaches photos and videos, and a spectacular display of football memorabilia.

 In addition to the Hall of Fame inductions, the elite twelve high school scholar-athletes will be honored from across the Mountain Empire will be awarded scholarships, with the top winner also earning their way into the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame.
