Bobby Gene Clawson, 76, Johnson City, passed away Monday, April 2, 2024, at Johnson City Medical Center.

A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late James M. and Bradie Harmon Clawson.

Bobby retired from the Iodent Corporation. He loved to fish, loved music and in earlier years he sang with gospel groups. He attended Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Luvenia Clawson, and a sister and brother-in-law, Ilene and Lawrence Preslor.

Survivors include a sister, Diane (Dolan) Smith; one nephew, James Smith; two nieces, Billie  Smith and Lori (Sam) Hoch; one great-niece, Hailey Smith; one great-nephew, Austin Smith; and his special friend, Clois Cordell.

It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
