To the Editor:

It’s great to see the Republican Party is hosting an important town hall meeting addressing the border crisis on Thursday, April 11, at 6 p.m. in the courtroom of the Carter County Courthouse and welcoming all citizens. According to the Bible in Romans 13 the purpose of government is the restraint of evil. Biden’s open border policy has allowed over 10 million illegals to come in, resulting in increased crime, drugs and chaos. Biden sold Trump’s unused fence parts so they could never be used. The Biden administration even arranged for over 380,000 illegal immigrants to fly into the U.S. primary to Florida and Texas. The media and the Democrats want them to be called “undocumented immigrants” and not illegal immigrants.

President George Washington said, “My opinion with respect to (immigration) is that except for useful mechanics and some particular descriptions of men or professions, there is no need for encouragement,…the policy…of settling…(immigrants) in a body may be much questioned: for, by so doing, they retain the language, habits, and principles…which they bring with them.” George Washington is still correct. We should discourage immigration unless they are being persecuted for their faith and stop all illegal immigration!

It’s insane for America to fund border security for Ukraine and Arab countries, but not for America! A record 112,000 Americans died from drug overdoses last year, mostly the result of fentanyl coming across our open borders. While not caring about how many illegals and drugs come across our borders our government immigration policy is being tough on Christians wanting to come here to save their lives because of persecution. 

If illegal immigrants are willing to break the law to get here, will they obey the law once here? If they aren’t afraid to break into our country illegally, why would they be afraid to break into our homes? If you take a long vacation you might come back to squatters in your home. I am thankful Jesus is my Savior and I have a home in Heaven. The Devil and demons are squatters on Earth but thankfully Jesus will remove them after the soon coming seven-year tribulation on Earth!            

The Texas governor said, “not all of these people come in peace.” Illegal  immigrant Luis Bracamontes boasted about his murder of two police officers. Many illegals have murdered and raped people. Last month 21 illegal migrants were among the 228 arrested in a Human Trafficking sting in Florida. Millions of those crossing the border aren’t caught or vetted. With more people coming across the border there’s more chance for terrorists to be among them. There’s more chance for an infectious disease carrying immigrant to start a pandemic disease outbreak that puts all Americans at risk!  

Deuteronomy 28 says one of God’s judgments on an evil country like America is an invasion of illegal aliens. American immigration policies are insane and destroying America. The invasion of illegal migrants, some armed, some criminals, some terrorists, some diseased on our border is scarier than the solar eclipse coming to Carter County at 3:07 p.m. on Monday, April 8!
