Appalachian Renaissance Faire hosts spring jubilee at Morristown park

The Appalachian Renaissance Faire of Tennessee brings history and fantasy to life. Join a fairytale cast and crew at majestic Fulton Hill Park April 20-21 as they bring the fictional town of Faire Crossings to life. In addition to a costumed cast of royals, fairies, and pirates ARFT brings music and live performances to three stages through the day.

Those attending will enjoy the medieval market which boasts 40 plus craft and food vendors. Also, they can try their hand at ax throwing and check out other historic demonstrations happening throughout the day. 

This family, friendly event will have something for every age group. From local alcohols for the adults to a ferry Glenn filled with enchantment for the little ones and what would spring celebration be without a maypole? Visitors are invited to dance around the maypole.   Entertainment includes belly dancing by the Misfit Gypsies, Pester the Jester will be on hand for family entertainment, and catch bands such as The Crossed Cannons, The Crossjacks, and Chaste Treasures with pirate shanties and Renaissance tunes throughout the day. You are invited to be part of the comedy show Court of Love with ARFT’s noble cast. All that and so much more!

Gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20, with a pre-gate show at 9:45. The event ends Saturday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale now.
