T.A. Dugger drama club takes stage with production

The T.A. Dugger drama club took to the stage inside the T.A. Dugger auditorium with their spin on a Treanor Wooten Baring comedy entitled “Almost History: That Whole Space-Time Continuum Thing” Monday evening.
A hit with the audience, the play depicted two students traveling through time visiting historical eras such as Columbus’s voyage, the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the invention of the telephone by Thomas Graham Bell, and the first moon landing.
Made up of cast members from the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades, the production was used to collect donations for the Elizabethton-Carter County Animal Shelter as well as the club itself.
Members of the comedy from the sixth grade included: Kherington Dodge, Rebekah Royce, Callan Foster, Willow Matthews, Olivia Heaton, Liam Cox, Kaylee Hill, Addie Mae Presnell, and Blakely Cole.
Seventh grade participants included: Griffin Garner, Ben Flowers, AJ Moore, Safa Newell, Annie Light, Haylee Hardin, and Autumn Willis.
The eighth grade participants were: Axel Stines, Cadence Wakefield, Logan Porter, Sydnie Brock, Baylee Hamm, Lee Workman, Hattie Bauer, Ava Sliger, Taylor Hively, and Paige Putnam.
Directing the drama were Maggie Carpenter, Will Dugger, and Amy Hayden.
