Earnest W. “Bill” Julian 88, Roan Mountain, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at his residence.

A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Robert M. Mackley and Mary Lilly Julian.

Bill was a retired employee of the Carter County Highway Department. He loved the outdoors, fishing, camping and sports. He was an avid UT sports fan.

Bill had recently gotten saved and would have attended Crabtree Free Will Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lucille Roberson Julian, and two sisters, Louise Honeycutt and Sharlene Roberson.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Scott Isaac; four grandchildren, Holly (Andy) Holden, Heather (Kevin) McKeehan, Hunter Isaac and Hope (Adam) Caraway; two great-grandchildren, Eva Holden and Eden Caraway, and Betty Shell, who was like a sister to him; four brothers, Lawrence Largent, Ernie Largent, Clarence Largent and Eddie Largent; several nieces and nephews; and his special four legged buddy “Teaser.”

The graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in the Johnson-Roan View Cemetery, Roan Mountain, with the Rev. Nevil Smith officiating. Active pallbearers will be Andy Holden, Kevin McKeehan, Hunter Isaac, Adam Caraway, Coty Hughes and Brian Blare. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, prior to the graveside service. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website, www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
