Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

To the Editor:

I am writing about the Roan Street, Broad Street intersection. The new road at this crossing is a mess, anybody coming down Roan Street from G Street can’t continue straight down Roan Street to go through the stop light on Broad Street to get to Mill Street.

If this is the best the Highway Dept. can do, they need to start over and rebuild this intersection, so people can drive down Roan Street to get to Mill Street. This intersection worked better the way it was before they did all that work. It is not safe the way it is today.

The City should step up and fix this dangerous, unsafe, intersection. People need to be able to go straight through the stop light. Now, they can only turn right and have to drive out of their way to get to Mill Street. People coming down Roan Street will not even be able to get to the new shopping center that they are planning to build where Save-A-Lot was located.

This is a very inconvenient intersection. I hope somebody can fix this badly designed intersection.

Thank you
