First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church Elizabethton will have both an online and live worship service Sunday at 11 a.m.

The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will present the sermon “Divine Tax Refund” based on Mark 12: 13-34.
Meditation is Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Adult Forum is at 9:30 a.m. Sunday in Martin Hall.

The public is invited.

 

First Christian

First Christian Church Elizabethton will have worship at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. The current outreach series follows the book “Cost” by Mike Baker.

Bible study for adults, youth, and kids will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Mother’s Day will be observed Sunday at the 9:45 a.m. service, when all mothers will be honored. There will be a special children’s service, prayers for moms, and fun awards.

First Christian also has a food pantry. Persons needing a food box are asked to call the church office at 542-5651 to make an appointment.

The church is located at 513 Hattie Ave. The minister is Michael Klaus.

 

Valley Forge Free Will

The Poet Voices will sing at a special Mother’s Day concert Sunday at Valley Forge Free Will Baptist Church at the 10:45 a.m. service. The group features Jeff Snyder, who serves as worship leader at Valley Forge.

Poet Voices was founded by gospel music legendary songwriter Phil Cross. His songs include “Jesus Built A Bridge,” and “One Holy Lamb,” as well as songs made popular by other groups such as “Wedding Music,” “When I Get Carried Away,” and “Champion Of Love.”  

A love offering will be received.  

The church is located at 1503 Riverview Drive, next to the Valley Forge Elementary School.

The Rev. Randy Johnson is pastor and invites the public to attend.
