The Elizabethton Walmart Supercenter at 1001 Over Mountain Drive was awarded the Helen R. Walton Excellence in Community Leadership Award (HWA) at Walmart’s Year Beginning Meeting. This award recognizes the teams and individuals that set the standard for being a “Facility of the Community” through charitable giving, championing charitable causes, and volunteering or leading other engagement activities. The Elizabethton store has raised over $23,500 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and filled and donated hundreds of backpacks for Stuff the Bus and Boys and Girls Club.
