Roan Mountain State Park each week has educational programs designed to teach about the natural and cultural history of the park and region. Advance registration is required and  children must be accompanied by an adult during the programs.

Happening this weekend (June 1 and 2) is an opportunity to make your own butter at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday Ranger Andrea will be at the Miller Farmstead, and will demonstrate traditional butter making. Participants will learn how butter churns work and how to shake your own butter with a mason jar.
