Kathleen “Kathy” Arnold (nee Grace) was born on July 17, 1943 in Johnson City, Tenn. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 1, 2024, surrounded by all four children at the Hooper Hospice House in Forest Hill, Md. She was 80 years old.

Kathleen was the beloved wife of Bob Arnold for 64 years and a devoted mother to her four children, Lisa Quinlin (Roger), Wanda Bengston (Greg), Angela Bray (Sean) and Bobby Allen Arnold (Tami). She was also a cherished grandmother to her six grandchildren, Brandon Arnold, Ashley Arnold, Doug Dunnigan, Nicholas Dunnigan, Jacob Dress and Natalie Bray; in addition to her great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and grand dogs.

Kathy was a devoted member of Braemar Baptist Church in Hampton, Tenn., where she had many faithful friends.

Throughout her life, Kathleen was known for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. She created a beautiful home filled with warmth and joy, and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, compassion and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.  

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 6, from 6 to 7 p.m. and the service will begin at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 212 North Main Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643. The graveside service will take place on Friday, June 7, at 11 a.m. Please meet at Memorial Funeral Chapel at 10:15 a.m. for a procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park, 2708 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson, City, TN  37601. Kathleen will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
