BRISTOL – Neighbors across our region, who are food insecure, will benefit from a generous donation of $30,000 from Toyota of Bristol and Toyota North America. This gift is part of Toyota of Bristol’s ongoing commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. This is the second year that Toyota of Bristol has been the event sponsor for the SHFBNETN Golf Classic and signature The Farmer & Chef events. In addition, Toyota of Bristol successfully nominated SHFBETN for a corporate match from Toyota North America.
This donation will bolster Second Harvest Food Bank’s efforts to provide nutritious food to those in need, particularly during these challenging times when many families are facing economic hardship. Toyota of Bristol’s partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank reflects a shared vision of a hunger-free Northeast Tennessee. The dealership’s contribution is a testament to their belief in the power of community support and the impact that corporate giving can have on local initiatives.
Toyota of Bristol manager Bunky Gandy shares, “It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that 96% of every dollar Toyota of Bristol and Toyota North America donates goes directly back into the community. It’s not just a donation; it’s an investment in the health and well-being of our neighbors and the future of our community.”
The food bank invites other local businesses to follow in Toyota of Bristol’s footsteps by contributing to the fight against food insecurity. Together, through collective efforts, the goal of ending hunger in Northeast Tennessee can become a reality.
Rhonda Chafin, SHFBETN shares, “Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee sincerely appreciates receiving support from Toyota of Bristol. They are an invested and dedicated partner in our fight to end hunger in Northeast, TN and we especially appreciate Mr. Gandy’s outstanding investment in our community.”
