Richard Keith Scalf, 55, of Piney Flats, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at his residence.
He was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Samuel Pat and Mildred Tolley Scalf.
Richard was a graduate of Hampton High School. He served in the United States Air Force. He had worked in the construction business most of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Scalf, December 3, 2006.
Survivors include his brother, Michael Ray Scalf and his wife Angie; two nephews, Jonathan Scalf and Joshua Scalf; one great-niece, Maleah Scalf; and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
There will be a memorial service for Mr. Scalf conducted at 7 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dwayne Calhoun officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., prior to the service. Condolences may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
