Arthur C. Davis Jr., of 113 Hidden Valley Road, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Holston Valley Medical Center of Kingsport.
He was a native of Linday, Calif., and the son of Clara Conley Davis of Apache Junction, Ariz., and the late Arthur Clarence Davis Sr.
Mr. Davis was a member of Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ. He was self-employed and loved his family and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Davis.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Judy King Davis; three children, Faith Lunsford of Jonesborough, Nathan Davis of Elizabethton and Ben Davis of Johnson City; a sister, Shelby Davis, Apache Junction, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren, Angel Turner, Andrew Lunsford, Levi Lunsford, Lydia Lunsford, Phillip Davis, Weston Davis, Caleb Davis, Eliza Davis, Christian Davis, Kaylee Davis and Landon Davis; two great-great-grandchildren, Bella Turner and Blanton Lunsford; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. David will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, at Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Donny Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5 p.m. until the service hour. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 14, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ben and Nathan Davis, Andrew, Mike and Levi Lunsford and Cade Johnson. Everyone attending this service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m.
