JONESBOROUGH — Theresa Stevens passed away Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born in Detroit, Mich., to the late Joseph and Rose Mae Gierlowski on May 25, 1934. She lived in the local area for 55 years.
Theresa was a CNA at Ivy Hall Nursing Home in Elizabethton and a member of East Side Baptist Church.
Theresa is survived by special niece, Debra Peters; special great-nephew, Elijah Ferguson; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Friday, December 19, at 127 Sycamore Circle in Jonesborough from 5 to 7 p.m. A special thank you to Rose Kociba of Detroit, Mich., and John Brookshire of Elizabethton, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Snyder’s Memorial Gardens to help pay for their services.
