Billy Jack Ingram, 51, of Elizabethton, passed away Friday, August 28, 2015, at the residence of his mother following an extended illness.
Born in Avery County, N.C., he had lived his life in Carter County.
Billy was a 1982 graduate of Hampton High School and attended Herman Robinson Vocational School. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator.
Billy was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Ingram; his father, J.B. Ingram; and his maternal grandparents, William and Lockie Lyons.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Jennifer Ingram, Bluff City; his mother, Thelma Lyons Hite, Elizabethton; two granddaughters, Tuesday Marie Ingram and Anastasia Ingram; two brothers, Keith Ingram and Vickie, Elizabethton, and Ray Ingram and wife Nancy of Michigan; his special unccle and aunt, Bill and Jeanette Lyons; his special friend and caregiver, Sue Bradford; and his special friend, the Rev. Bob Shupe.
Funeral services for Billy Jack Ingram will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Shupe officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Kelly Honeycutt, Freddie Johnson, Bill Lyons, Leon Whitehead, Dwight Collins, Gary Johnson, Wes Johnson and Adrian Tolley. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Sue Bradford, Bill and Jeanette Lyons, Vickie Ingram and Ruby, Hannah, Ivy and Clara of Mountain States Hospice for the excellent care Billy received. The family will receive friends from noon Sunday until the service hour. Friends may also visit with the family at his mother’s residence.
