Frances Goldie Vogt

Frances Goldie Vogt, 92, of Elizabethton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at her residence.
A native of Meshopper, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Raymond O. and Pearl Benniger Tyler. She had been a resident of Elizabethton since 1986, moving here from Glen Burnie, Md.
Mrs. Vogt was a beautician. In Elizabethton, she along with her daughter, operated the Poarch Beauty Salon. She was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and a member of the Ladies of the Moose. She loved to work in her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Carl Vogt, in 1980; a daughter, Lana Lee Vogt; and two grandchildren, Gary Blackwell Jr. and Adam Michael Vogt.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Younce and husband Sonny, Elizabethton; two sons, David Vogt and wife Doreen, Lakeland, Fla., and Joseph Vogt, Elizabethton; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Frances Goldie Vogt will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 28, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Billy Younce and Pastor Calvin Jett officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of her daughter, Connie Younce, 401 East Mill Street, Elizabethton. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Dr. A. Bassal. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-990.
