An Elizabethton woman faces multiple charges after police say she attempted to run over her boyfriend while their children were in the vehicle with her.

Deputies of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kasey Miller, 30, of 605 West E. St., Apt. 2-B, Elizabethton, on a warrant charging her with aggravated domestic assault, aggravated child abuse/neglect and reckless endangerment. The warrant for Miller was obtained by Elizabethton Police Department Officer Joe Holsclaw following an investigation into a report of a domestic disturbance at a city business.

According to court documents, officers were dispatched to Ultimate Shine Car Wash on Overmountain Drive after a 911 caller reported a domestic disturbance at the car wash and told dispatchers a woman had tried to run a man over.

When Holsclaw arrived on the scene, he spoke with Christopher Ludwick, who said he and his girlfriend, identified as Miller, had been arguing the previous night and she called him that morning wanting to know where he was and he told her he was at work.

“She came to meet him in the rear parking lot of Walmart next to the car wash, and when he told her she needed to go he had to work she became upset and tried to run him over with the vehicle,” Holsclaw said.

Holsclaw said he reviewed security camera footage of the incident and it showed Ludwick running from Walmart toward the car wash with Miller chasing him in a gold SUV. He then turned around and ran back toward Walmart, Holsclaw said, and Miller turned the SUV around and began chasing Ludwick again.

“I asked Mr. Ludwick where his kids were at the time and he stated she had both the children in the vehicle with her the whole time,” Holsclaw said. “Mr. Ludwick also stated this is the second time she has attempted to run him over with the vehicle and his kids inside.”

Due to the video footage and the statement by Ludwick, Holsclaw said he obtained a warrant charging Miller with aggravated domestic assault, reckless endangerment and aggravated child abuse/neglect.
