According to court documents, deputies of the CCSO and officers of the Elizabethton Police Department obtained the search warrant for the house on Holston Avenue following an investigation into allegations that illegal narcotics, specifically crystal methamphetamine, were being sold from that residence.

“During the subsequent search of the residence, over four ounces of crystal methamphetamine were discovered, along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia, bags and scales used in the weighing and packaging of narcotics for resale, along with a semi-automatic pistol were all discovered,” CCSO Deputy Chief Investigator Mike Little said.

According to Little, the handgun was found inside of a safe in the residence which also contained personal effects belonging to Fleenor including her identification card and other papers.

Officers arrested Fleenor and Oaks, and transported them to the Carter County Detention Center. In addition to the drug charges related to the search warrant, officers also served Oaks with outstanding warrants charging him with violation of probation and two counts of failure to appear.

Both Fleenor and Oaks appeared in Carter County General Sessions Court on Tuesday morning. Judge Keith Bowers Jr. appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Oaks and attorney Ryann Jeffers to represent Fleenor.

Oaks and Fleenor are scheduled to return to General Sessions Court on Dec. 12.
