Thunder Rolls in Elizabethton

Elizabethton and Carter County were the places to be last week for a unique flock of birds.
Roughly 70 Ford Thunderbirds from all across North America made their way to the area from July 26-28 for an adventure that ended Saturday at the Carter County Car Club’s Cruise-In in downtown Elizabethton. Ron McCloud, Club president, has helped organize these types of events for the area and indicates that it allows car enthusiasts to see what Elizabethton and Carter County has to offer, while also giving back to community. Over the course of Saturday’s event, several Thunderbird-related items were auctioned off with proceeds going to benefit the community branch of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
