TSBDC offering small business workshops in October

JOHNSON CITY — Business exports and social media tips for the upcoming holiday season will be covered in Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) workshops this month.

Both “Export Boot Camp” and “Holiday Edition Facebook & Instagram Workshop for the Business Owner” will be held at East Tennessee State University’s Innovation Lab, 2109 West Market St.

On Tuesday, Oct. 29, participants will learn about becoming successful exporters of products and services, including how to finance export transactions and mitigate economic, political and financial risks. “Export Boot Camp” will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Registration is required.

Valentina Escobar-Gonzales, founder of Beyond Engagement Social Media Solutions, will discuss tips, tools and advice for promoting small businesses during the holiday season. The training will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The cost to attend is $25 per person and pre-registration is required.
