FROM STAFF REPORTS
Last Friday was not only just a big night for the Elizabethton Cyclone football team that took care of Class 6A foe William Blount but it was also a special night for Cyclone linebacker Jonathan ‘Deuce’ Morton who collected something special from his time on the wrestling mat in the 2020 season.

Prior to the game, Morton was presented his state championship ring for winning the 195-pound weight class at the Class A-AA TSSAA State Championship in Murfreesboro.

The wrestler defeated Pigeon Forge’s Caleb Wolfe to win the title.
