Laura Ann Harris Guinn, 43, Butler, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness. She was born September 12, 1977 in Boone, N.C., to Henry and Cathy Potter Harris.
Laura was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State University. Prior to her illness she was employed at Shirley’s Restaurant. She was a member of Stout Hill Church of Christ.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her husband of 23 years, Bobby Guinn; a daughter, Caitlyn Guinn and Jake Trivette; a sister, Jennifer (Johnny) Clawson; her brother, Travis (Amber) Harris; two nieces, Marissa Harris and Miranda Harris; and one nephew, Jonathan Clawson. She is also survived by her beloved and faithful companion, Benji the dog.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 22, at the Stout Hill Church of Christ with Mr. Donnie Cable and Mr. David Irick, ministers, officiating. Music will be provided by the congregation. Interment will follow in the Harris-Guinn Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Ellis Cable, Tommy Dugger, Alex Matthew, Patrick Garland, Zoltan Sebestyer, Johnny Clawson and Kenny Carter. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bobby Reynolds and the staff of Mountain Family Medicine. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday at the church. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
