Charlene Campbell Miller, 83, of the Fish Springs Community in Hampton, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord on Monday, August 30, 2021, from Hermitage Health Center of Elizabethton. Charlene was born on May 15, 1938. She was preceded in death by Elmer and Retha Campbell. Her birth mother was Bertie Honeycutt. Charlene attended Fish Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Charlene is survived by her brother, Lewis (Charlotte) Honeycutt of Hampton; her sisters, Martha Hardin, Lilly Blevins and Bonnie Montgomery, all of Elizabethton; three special nieces, Brenda Hatley Perry, Ethel Hatley and Faye Hatley Tester; and her special friends, Lewis Ward, Jeremy and Amy Williamson, Beryl Campbell, Mary Whaley and Lloyd and Debbie Copeland.
A service to celebrate the life of Charlene Campbell Miller will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, September 3, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Pastor Steve Guinn officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. The graveside service will follow in the Campbell Cemetery in Whaley Town. Active pallbearers will be Beryl Campbell, Jason Lunceford, Dean Lunceford, Otis Griffey, Dennis Ward and Bill Hardin. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Sycamore Shoals, Hillview Health Center, Hermitage Health Center and Amedysis Hospice for their kindness and support. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Fish Springs Baptist Church in memory of Charlene.
