Elizabethton and Carter County has been home to many emerging local businesses over the years, ones that thrive due to people’s support of their own community members.

With that being said, there has recently been one more emerging local business that has found its way into the beautiful area of Elizabethton, one that goes by the name of Dugger Family Monuments.

Dugger Family Monuments specializes in cemetery monuments, a way to provide a personal connection and a meaningful canvas onto grave markers of lost loved ones.

Dustin Dugger, owner of Dugger Family Monuments, spoke on his business in Elizabethton, saying, “Unlike many other monument companies, we keep all our monuments inside to make things easier for customers when they are choosing between which monuments would work best for them, rather than having to endure the weather if it is not favorable.”

Dugger has similar businesses in other areas of the region, but expanded by saying that feedback from customers made him want to provide a more convenient experience for those in Carter County.

“About five months ago we started brainstorming on how we could make things easier for our customers. The main premise of opening a business here is that we want to reach more families in areas like Roan Mountain or even up in North Carolina with places like Boone.

“We want to put our customers first, and that is just one of many things that we can do to help make things more convenient for them.”

Dugger Family Monuments puts an emphasis on the care of their customers, making decisions on cemetery monuments as quick and simple as they would like. However, the business also wants to give families whatever they would like, going as in-depth on a monument as needed.

Dugger Family Monuments is located at 501 Broad Street, Suite #2 in Elizabethton, and is open from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday by appointment.

The business also offers discounts for all veterans, active military, and first responders. For more information, Dugger Family Monuments can be reached by phone at (423) 518-1650.
